Miss Hsu joined WCBS-TV in July, 1993 as a Channel 2 News Correspondent. In May of 1994, Hsu was named co-anchor of the Channel 2 News weekend newscast and co-anchor of 2 News This Morning in July, 1996. Cindy joined WCBS-TV from WFRV-TV, the CBS Owned station in Green Bay, Wisconsin where she served as a weekend co-anchor and correspondent since 1991.

Hsu began her broadcasting career as a news producer for WTVR-TV in Richmond,
Virginia. In January of 1990, she joined WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio/Wheeling, West Virginia.

Since joining WCBS-TV, Hsu's work has exposed the horrific plights of Chinese
refugees from the ship Golden Venture. The riveting piece, "Smuggled From China," which aired in September, 1993, earned her a New York Emmy for "Outstanding Single Hard News Story." Hsu has also won an Emmy for "Outstanding Coverage of an Anticipated Breaking News Story" when she followed the snowstorm of February 11, 1994. The North Jersey Press Club has also recognized and awarded her work.

Hsu is a graduate of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in
Blacksburg, Virginia. She is the current President of the Asian American Journalists
Association.
