As a founding member of The Supremes, the single most successful female group in history, Mary Wilson has performed all over the world and met princes and presidents alike. As one of the three music icons of the 1960's, along with The Beatles and Elvis Presley, The Supremes enjoyed an unparalleled series of Number One hits by a female group; 12 million-selling records in the U.S. alone, and a total of 20 million-selling records worldwide. They have been called "the most successful and longest lasting female vocal group of the 1960's," and served as the cornerstone for the Motown Sound.

But Wilson is not one to sit on her laurels. In the 20 years since The Supremes ceased recording, Wilson has remained in the spotlight, continuously touring and blossoming out new careers for herself as an author, actor, designer, motivational speaker and a DJ on one of New York's top radio stations. A much loved personality, Wilson has the honored distinction of having been the answer to a clue on an episode of TV's "Jeopardy," and AOL's on-line "Clink" puzzle game, both in the same month.

The successful author is once again writing, hard at work on her third book, which is also her first novel. A murder mystery set in the music industry. The work brings together all of Wilson's storytelling talents and dramatic flair. Wilson's first tome, "Dreamgirls: My Life as a Supreme" (1986), remains the largest selling music autobiography of all time. The true story of The Supremes also served as the inspiration for the Broadway show "Dreamgirls". Wilson follow-up book, "Supreme Faith: Someday We'll Be Together" (1990), tells her story of overcoming a strict childhood and abusive marriage, and shares the secrets of the deep spirituality which helped her heal after the tragic death of her youngest son. An intimate and moving story, the book created a demand for Wilson to become a motivational speaker, addressing corporations, schools, conventions and family abuse centers, dozens of times a year with uplifting tales of handling all that life puts In your path.
