Tonya Curtis

Tonya Denise Curtis is committed to enriching the lives of adults and youth through motivational speaking and the Art of Storytelling. As one of Les Brown's (one of the nation's leading resources in Human Motivation) protege's, her method of motivation stimulates people to move new personal heights. She is also the Editor of The GoodNews Newsletter". As professional children's storyteller, and a motivational speaker, Ms. Curtis has also been called a Catalyst for Action and a Messenger of Hope.

Ms. Curtis is a partner with the law firm of McMickens, Curtis, Ellis & Moore in Brooklyn, New York. She is a former federal prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice. Fortified by over 10 years of successful practice, Ms. Curtis has decided to extend her unique skills from the courtroom to the classroom. She has been featured in the New York Daily News and the Staten Island Advance for her service, and is presently lecturing monthly at the at the Brooklyn Marriot in an adult empowerment lecture series. She has become known as the "THE MOTIVATOR".

Ms. Curtis is a former educator with the New York City Board of Education, where she taught 5th grade. Currently she performs children's stories at he public library at Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn, New York. Through her work, youth are able to learn life lessons from stories that are morally instructive. The youth interact, becoming a part of the story. This way they leave the session with a sense of direction, fulfillment and purpose. Her work with children enriches the educational process by allowing audiences to hear, see and then do. The practical application of a lesson is what children remember. Tonya Curtis is a walking, breathing, living instructional video, allowing children and parents alike to associate a good time with a book.

She has dedicated her life to bettering the lives of youth and empowering others. She teaches techniques she's used to overcome obstacles.
